Setting Your End-of-Year Intentions

Hi everyone!

Happy Tuesday! I don’t know about you, but the moment Fall arrived I’ve been thinking about my end-of-year goals. Yes, I’m that person! While I’ll always be a summer babe at heart, I love the reflection that comes with the last few months of the year. It’s a chance to sit with yourself and check in. To remind yourself of the intentions you set at the beginning of the year and see how they’ve progressed. It’s also another chance to TAKE ACTION.

Hell yes, you still can take action at this time of year. You can still crush goals and set new intentions. I think most of us are programmed to think that we can only set intentions and new goals at the start of the new year or new birth year. And while that may be the most popular time to do so, you have the power and control to hit the reset button at any time. Don’t beat yourself up for not meeting goals on your initial timeline or for “falling off the wagon.” You have the power to get back up and keep on moving—so let’s end the year strong!

Life moves so damn fast these days! We all have crazy good intentions, but then life throws a curveball at you! What can you do to take better care of yourself, what daily actions can you take to keep you in a healthy place of growth? When something happens that's unexpected, having a schedule and or systems in place to keep on keeping on are critical! We must still continue to take care of ourselves and others (kids, spouses, pets, parents, etc.) It's what we were put here to do!

There are so many excuses we can come up with as to why we aren’t reaching our goals, living to our fullest potential, or deciding we’ll just wait for the new year to get “back on track.” The sooner you realize that growth happens even when you’re not moving forward, the sooner you’ll feel the freedom and motivation to try again. Let yourself off the hook, stop comparing yourself to others, and take some time to genuinely check in with you. This is why I love the end of the year so much! You know where you stand, you know where you want to go, and you can spend these last few months getting yourself there.

Let me ask you: what actions are YOU taking to make yourself healthier and happier? When you look at who you spend the most time with, can you say they are "helping" or "hurting" your goals? When you start to change, grow and evolve into your higher self it makes people UNCOMFORTABLE! Most people do NOT like change! In fact, nothing makes people more uncomfortable, in my opinion! But that’s why it’s your personal journey. Not theirs. The moment you release yourself from the pressures and excuses of others is the moment you reclaim your power.

So, start something.

Right now.

Whatever it is, make it happen for yourself. Think about the pleasure of the end result.

Once you get started by taking the small steps first, you will willingly take more time to do more! If we believe in ourselves, we can accomplish anything! There is no greater truth.

Now is the best time to take action about something on your "wants" list. End of year "goals"..However you want to label it to fit your mindset.

  • Send an email

  • Book a lesson

  • Read "that" book

  • Make a list if you don't have one!

  • Ask for help

It doesn’t need to be this huge task, it can literally be as simple as making a list of what you want to achieve. Even that is progress! Each day’s progress means you are one step closer than yesterday. And at the end of each week? That’s some impressive progress. Remember, success IS the journey.

HOMEWORK

Go and take action right now, set some short term and long term goals. Give yourself the grace to enjoy all the things you do every day. Don't be discouraged if it doesn't happen in the time frame you thought...it will come when the time is right for you. Let’s end the year stronger than we started it!

What are you going to commit to right now? I can’t wait to hear from you!

So much love,

Jess
