Owning the Pivot: Building a Beauty Brand Beyond the Chair

I sat down with my girl Tara Dominguez, and let me just say—she’s one of those women whose story gives you chills and motivation all in one.

Tara is proof that where you start doesn’t define where you’re going. She was a small-town girl who almost didn’t graduate high school, went to beauty school right after, and packed up for LA to chase her dreams. Yes, she assisted on Nip/Tuck (like what?!)—but her real glow-up began back at a JCPenney salon, where she would literally sit in the break room googling the PRESIDENT of the company while sipping burnt coffee… because she knew she was meant for more.

Fast forward a few years—and she’s the owner of a 4,000 sq. ft. salon, has built a multiple 7-figure business, and is now launching her own podcast. But don’t get it twisted—Tara is not here to share just the highlight reel.
